Slark’s Role The
MurlocNightcrawler
can be played in many ways. He can be an early game
carry
(pounce)and killer when late game. His pounce skill can be evaded
when
you do the sidestep but it’s hard when you battle with him in
close
fight he can easily pounceyou and drag you to hell. His pounce
was
rebalanced in6.66b that blinking maybreak the leashed. You cannot
fly
away with the pounce in using POTM’s leap butblinking and
teleporting
can do the trick. Murloc was the scariest among
meleeheroes. He hits
like Troll warlord, Faceless Void and other late
game heroes.

Mechanics:
-You
may need a high hp poll to cast this skill because it might damage you
andcause you to death.
-This kill can be used as farming 2 dark pacts
can kill 1 batch creeps.
-You can cast this when you use shadow
dance so you can regen the damage causedby this dark pact.

Mechanics:
-This
skill can be used like a hero pull that drags hero caught by it.
-Pounce
can be used as an escape mechanism
-Pounce acts like a stun but its
not actually a stun skill but when you
arecaught by this you can
only teleport or blink to avoid this skill
leaping couldnot avoid and
it will cause no effect you’ll just drag
again back when you
castleap.

Mechanics:
-Essence
Shift is the most scariest skill among his skills because without
thisslark wont be a powerful hero.
-One way of using this is to sneak
and backstab a hero using shadow
dance itsteals stats like the skill
of Obsidian Destroyer and Undying.
But the statswill comeback to the
owner when the seconds or the
duration had gone.

Mechanics:

Dance is also a powerful skill it makes Slark invisible and
when
notspotted or not seen in the fog of war he can regen his hp imba
fast
likeregeneration in the fountain.
-Shadow Dance is a combo with
Essence Shift and can be used as an
escapemechanism. Its only
downfall is sentry wards can see it, dust of
appearance andgem of
true sight and also there is a dark smoke in top
of his head, which

build was build
by me sometimes when I am struggling in a lane
withheroes with
disables. You could have a great advantage when
hitting heroesbecause
the duration of the essence shift is quite long
so take advantage ofit.

2 Slippers of Agility for poorman’s shield and 2
branches for magic
wandand also the 2 tangos for health point
regeneration. After you have
250 gold gobuy stout shield and it will
became poorman’s shield. Then
go for magic wandand 1 branch for the
magic stick. Then go for core
items now.

Poorman’sShield- 100% block 20 hero damage and gives
60%chance to block 20 nonhero damage.
Ring of
Basilius- For 0.65mana regeneration and +3 armor
Magic Stick- This item is active. When every
enemy
herocasts a skill it will got1 charge and stacks up to 15
charges.
Makes 1 stack 15hp and 15 mana.

of Madness -
Mask ofMadness is used with the last skill of
slark the shadow dance.
Because if youclick the Mask of Madness it
gives you bonus attack speed
so the essence shiftwould be more
useful.

-Bonus attack speed
-Life
Steal bonus
-Bonus movement speed

Cons:
-When
used you will take 30% moredamage

Vladimir’s
Offering-This item is important
with slark if you don’t want
to buy Mask ofMadness. It gives you bonus
mana regeneration and
armor. When you buy this youcan go for mjolnir or
other orb effects
items.

Pros:
-Lifesteal Aura
-Mana
regen
-Armor
-15% damage

Cons:
-Melee
units only that can beaffected with the vampiric aura.


Luxury
Items






Cranium Basher-
It gives the user a 25% change
to bash with meleeheroes and 10%
chance for ranged heroes. Gives +30
damage and +6 Strenght. Thisitem
is used for stunning so that hero
would not run easily. You could get
fastattack speed with your essence
shift so you could attack fast
and bashflawlessly.

Pros:
-Killer
item
-Can stunopponents.
-Disable enemies

Cons:
-None.


TheButterfly - The Butterfly gives evasion to
the user and +30
damage +30agility 30% evasion and +30 attack speed. It
is also for
attack speed purposesand evasions for hitter heroes like
troll, void,
riki.

Pros:
-Bonus attackspeed
-Evasion
-Attack
Damage
-+40 Agility

Cons:
-None

Ethereal Blade - It gives the user +40
agility
+10 strength +10intelligence and ethereal blast (active).
Gives a blast
that could damage 2.5xthe agility of the user. Slark’s
agility could go
over 150-200 depends on theenemy hero. Try to hit a
hero plenty of
times until you have succeeded 150 agior more and
click the e-blade to
an hero. Both of you will be an ethereal formand
will take 40% magic
damage for 3 seconds.

Pros:

-+10 Strength and+10 Intelligence
-Ethereal
Blast.

Cons:
-When castethereal
blast it cannot be hit


Orchid Malevolence-
This item isused for
skiller heroes to be silence within 5 seconds
and has a 25
secondcooldown. Also this item amplifies damage that
deals damage after
the durationof the silence.

Pros:
- +20intelligence
- +30 attackspeed
-
+40 damage
- 225% mana regeneration
-Soul Burn

Cons:
-None



Survivability Items






Heart of
Tarrasque -Heart can be a big help when your
alwaysrunning out of hp when its clash it gives you +45 strength and
+300 hit points.

Linken Sphere -
Gives
+6 HP regeneration, +150% mana regeneration,+15 strength,
agility,
intelligence. Can block most targeted spells has 20second
cooldown.

Vanguard - Gives 300 hp
and 70% to block 40 damage for melee heroesand 70 % to block 20 damage
if ranged.

Black King Bar-
If
you want to be Superman buy this. If you want toevade or be
unstoppable
go buy this unstoppable for 10 seconds and decreasingevery
click by 1
second. If enemy heroes have nukes and disable skills
likeLaguna
Blade, Vodoo, Impale, Etc.

Assault
Cuirass- Gives you +40 attack speed and +10 armor. +5
armorfor allies and –5 armor for enemies affects buildings.

Skill
Techniques


Dark Pact-
This
skill is most preferred to use while using shadowdance. Because
using
this skill can damage your hit points. Some opponents
takeadvantage
with your low hp and gank you so be aware with the mini
maps incaseof
ganks. When Dark Pact is level 4 its easily to farm
creeps with 2
dark pactsand as I said don’t abuse and sacrifice your hp
much. It
has 350 AOE and2-second casting time. So cast this when you
used
pounce so that hero thatcaught will be damage by the dark pact.


Pounce-I
prefer
that using this as a chase and escape skill. It can travel
700casting
range if you max it. I prefer use this in less creeps are so
that
youcan easily caught a hero. Use this when your opponents where
running
on astraight line. You can use this whether you think that your
opponent
is runningon a straight line. You can ask for help like storm
bolt,
impale, magic missileand etc. when they cast the stuns quickly
approach
the hero then when you arebeside your opponent quickly cast
pounce.
The enemy unit that is closest toslark will be hit by the
pounce.


Essence Shift-
Essence
Shift is a skill that steals stats from the enemyhero. Nothing
much
to say with this, but do the back stab thing and hit theenemy hero
as
fast as possible. Shadow Dance then hit the enemy ..


Shadow
Dance-
Shadow Dance isslarks ultimate this
may use in different ways. This
also makes slarkhigh-speed life
regeneration even not in fountain
(level 1) (2%)(Level 2) (3%)and
(Level 3) (4%). You can use this as a
hitting ability and other one
isescape ability. Slark can roam the
fastest among heroes without
town portals, becauseof high movement
speed.



Strategy or Gameplay.



Laning

Top-
Top lane is not
preferred by slark because the creeps of thesentinel
and the scourge
clash within the scourge tower. But when your
scourgeside you can go to
top lane. You can go pull creeps the same
as the bottom lanego lure the
creeps when 44-46 seconds e.g 1:44,
2:45, 3:45 etc. You can blockthe
sentinel creeps if you want so clash
between creeps would not be in
thescourge tower. Its not easy for
slark to kill and farm because first
of allhe’s melee and if top lane
have 2 nuker heroes it would be
difficult for him todeny creeps.

Middle
– You can go with
middle lane if the hero that
assigned tomiddle lane is not harasser or
a disable. You can go solo
with middle lane tohave your ultimate within
4 to 5 minutes of the
game.

Bottom - Bottom
lane is the
most preferred lane for slark, becauseif you are having
trouble with
your lane you can go pull creeps like this. Golure the
creeps when
46-48 seconds e.g 1:47, 2:48, 3:47 etc.

When pull successgo back to your
lane if you have low hp go for the
tower hug you make juke heroesin
the forest near the sentinel bottom
tower. You may take advantage
with thefog of war and your last skill
makes your speed faster.

Farming - Your role in the
team is a
hitter so farm as fast aspossible. But don’t farm almost the
rest of
the game. When you get level 6 goroam the map, and when you
find a
lane that can be farmed don’t hesitate to getit.
Another one don’t
forget to alwaysbuy Town portal incase your being
ganked. Town portal
is your best friend whenfarming. ( isang payo upang
hindi umusog ang
creeps ng scourge or sa sentinel.Kung ikaw ay mag
dedeny ng creeps
siguraduhin mong last hit lang ang iyonggagawin walang
labis walang
kulang. Dapat hindi ka babanat sa creeps antayinmong ang
mga creeps
mo ang bumanat hanggang mamatay ito. Magdeny ka din ngcreeps
mo para
pantay ang daloy ng creeps sa dalawang panig.)

Ganking - When ganking in
early game
always remember to ask forhelp from supporters. But be
careful and
always look for backups that comingfrom the enemy. Buy some
dust of
appearance if your opponent has an invisibleskill and if it had
lothar’s
edge. Cast pounce and when caught go for dust whenhe uses
invis.

Warding - You can ask
for warders to wards this 3 spots to avoidganks.
Bottom Lane

WhenGanked
- In any games
you must be always aware with the mini map.Be
aware when heroes are
gone and as I’ve said wards is always a good
counterfor ganks. You can
also use your shadow dance and pounce to
escape.

Pushing -
When pushing
remember to ask for help don’t go alone. (Huwag niyo
agad I push ang
1st tower kasi mahihirapan na kayopaglumagpas ng
river mas prone sa
ganking pag lumagpas kayo ng river. Kasidelikado
na pag lumagpas kayo
ng river, dahil mahihirapan kayo bumalik sa
towernio at malayo din ang
tatakbuhin para makauwi ng base. Kung mag
lalast hit kayong creeps. Ito
gawin nio para hindi gumalaw ung creeps
pa harap. Lapit kayo sacreeps
at last hit lang wag kayo babanat
kahit konti kasi matutulak ng
creepsiyon.)


Game Play Walkthrough

Early
Game - During early
game slark’s main role is to get
to level6 so that he can roam around
the map. Go build your core
items and go roam. Tryto get a number of
kills within early game,
because slark’s main goal is to gankand gank
in early game. Go
ganking and make money to farm for miscellaneousitems.

Middle Game
During middlegame
Slark must have 2 misscellanous items (Vanguard or
MoM) or (Vanguard
orVladimir’s Offering). During middle game your role
is to hit every
hero thatcomes to your spot, but if you think that
there are many
backups coming fromthe enemy side don’t hesitate to go
back.
You
must farm for the luxuries items for late game.

Late Game
During late
gameslark must have this items. Either
ofthe two you can build.
Remember slark must have atleast 2 luxury
items for imbaresults. If
having trouble with disables change vanguard
to BKB. Sneak out
withyour shadow dance and always
be aware withthe gem or wards.

These heroes aregood allies it can help you to
have a successful ganks
and other support orcarry stuffs. Ask friends
or teammate to pick these
heroes incase that you’veneed support.



Disablers
and Nuker Enemy
Heroes






Beware of thesenuker
heroes it may disable and make your hp gone to 0.
You can counter
thisheroes but when 5v1 happens your no choice for
fleeing away. Just
always beaware with the mini maps and the heroes
simple as that.
Always buy TP incaseyour trap.




Counter
Items




These items are items that counter
slark’sshadow
dance. When your spotted you cannot regain speed and
regen life
points.So it’s better to view their inventory first before
plunging the
enemy.Necronomicon Level 3 has a true sight and dust of
apperance can
be cast to seeinvisible units in a 1250 AOE. Observer
wards can be used
to spot an enemywithin the area for 2 minutes.
